Jeffrey Kirouac, M.D.Jeffrey Kirouac, M.D.

Dr. Jeffrey Kirouac received a BA degree from Bowdoin College in 1984 with dual majors in Biochemistry and Pyschobiology. He graduated from A.U.C. School of Medicine in 1989 and thereafter completed his Anesthesiology residency at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan in 1994, subspecializing in acute and chronic pain management. Since then, he has been a member of the Pain Management team at Michigan Pain Management Consultants and a Board Certified anesthesiologist with Northland Anesthesia Associates.


John Traylor, M.D.Jeffrey Kimpson, M.D.
Medical Director


Dr. Kimpson is a native of Detroit, Michigan.  In 1981, he graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry.  Dr. Kimpson then attended the Wayne State University School of Medicine, from which he graduated in 1985.  He was accepted into the Anesthesia Residency Program at Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI. in 1985.  In addition to completing the Anesthesia Residency program, Dr. Kimpson completed specialized fellowships in both Pediatric Anesthesia (Detroit Children’s Hospital) and Pain Management in 1989.  He joined the staff at Providence Hospital in September, 1989.  His initial focus was the development and integration of the Anesthesia program for Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery. 

Due to the explosive growth in the field of Pain Management, Dr. Kimpson decided to start a Pain Management practice in 1995.  The goals of this practice are to enhance the quality of life in this patient population and improve their overall function.  Dr. Kimpson is the Medical Director of Pain Management services at Providence Hospital.  He has served in this capacity intermittently for the last fifteen years.  Dr. Kimpson has vast experience in all facets of Pain Management including:  medication management, interventional injections, spinal cord stimulation and the management of narcotic pain pumps.  His specialized training and comprehensive approach to Pain Management have improved the lives of thousands of patients.


Dominick Lago Jr., M.D.Dominick Lago Jr., M.D.


Dr. Dominick Lago Jr., M.D. is a Board Certified anesthesiologist specializing in acute and chronic pain. He is currently the section chief of Orthopedic Anesthesia at Providence-St. John Hospitals in Southfield and Novi. He is the former section chief of Neurosurgical Anesthesia at Providence-St. John Hospital. Dr. Lago has been with Michigan Pain Management for 15 years. He completed his residency at Providence-St. John Hospital, and was chief resident during his last year. During his training, he completed the requirements for extra qualification in pain management. Dr. Lago graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelors of Science in Zoology. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the American University. Dr. Lago is on staff at Providence-St. John Hospitals in Novi and Southfield. He is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and the American College of Physician Executives.



John Traylor, M.D.John Traylor, M.D.


Dr. John Traylor, III, is a native Detroiter. He specializes in the evaluation and management of acute and chronic painful conditions. He is one of the founders of Michigan Pain Management Consultants West, P.C. He has been providing pain management services and anesthesia care for patients at Providence Hospital and Medical Centers since 1984. Dr. Traylor completed his pre-med studies at the University of Michigan before graduating with his M.D. from Michigan State University. After graduating he began his pre-anesthesia training in surgery. He went on to complete a residency in anesthesia where he served as Chief Resident and was awarded Outstanding Resident of the Year on multiple occasions. He has also been awarded Outstanding Faculty of the Year. Dr. Traylor completed a fellowship in pain medicine. He is board certified as a Diplomate in the subspecialty of Pain Medicine, Anesthesia, and the American Academy of Pain Management. He has also been a Certified Independent Medical Examiner. Dr. Traylor is proud to make state of the art interventional pain management treatments and anesthesiology interventions available to his patients so they can enjoy a full and comfortable lifestyle.
